Travel light. Spread the light. Be the light.

Greetings, from concourse F of the Atlanta Hartsfield- Jackson Airport. The day has finally come for me to depart my dear United States and begin my semester in Europe. A year of planning has come to an end, and four months of adventure (and a LOT of research) has begun.
Near the beginning of my sophomore year of college, I mad a cup of Yogi Tea and the tea tag had the message "Travel light, spread the light, be the light." I taped this lovely little message to my wall to see when I was working and studying, and have been carrying it around in my back pack since I moved out of my sophomore dorm. This lil tea tag is holds so many wonderful messages.
Travel light
Traveling light while traveling is pretty important (someone help me with this please) but traveling light through life is so much more crucial. Let go of the heavy stuff and the baggage weighing you down and travel through life choosing joy over a heavy heart.
Spread the light
Jesus is the light of the world and everyone deserves to know that. Spread the light as far and as wide as you can. You're making the world a little bit more bright.
Be the light
Be the light in someone's life today. Just a little bit of light can make all the difference. It's up to you to be the light no matter what darkness you are faced with.
These three statements are the mantra that I'm basing this wonderful trip on. Traveling (sorta) light, spreading the light, and being the light. I have a feeling it's going to be a wonderful four months.
Signing out for now because my flight to London is boarding soon. Next time I check in it will be from the home of Kate Middleton and Ed Sheeran, so buckle up.
