When searching for a place to stay in London, I looked everywhere. I wanted somewhere that would be close to the archives that I would be visiting, have space enough for me to live in for two weeks, be in a safe and trendy neighborhood, and be within my budget.  I looked at some student hotels and traditional hotels close to where I wanted to stay, as well as scoured AirBNB but I just couldn't find a place to stay that I felt confident would be what I needed.  There was just so much ambiguity.

When I first looked at their site I could not believe how posh all their listings looked.  And they give so much information about the listing-- beautiful photos, detailed amenities, walking distance to public transport, best features, recommendations for things to do within a 10-minute's walk, and even what the downsides of the place are (if you can even call then downsides-- for my particular listing all of the negatives were positives for me).  

The Plum Guide only lists the best of the best in London, after ensuring that it meets over 150 criteria (including shower pressure, wifi, safety, and hospitality of the host). 

Additionally, they have a price guarantee, so when I found my perfect rental for a bit less on AirBNB they were pleased to match that price and give me 50 GBP (about 65 USD) off! Wow! 

The absolute best part about my experience thus far with The Plum Guide was their customer service.  A real person immediately responded when I had questions on their instant messenger, and they were so courteous and helpful when verifying my price match.  You can tell that these people genuinely want to help visitors have the best experience possible, and you can just feel the passion that they have for their city.
