Planning for Packing

July 29, 2017

Basically my whole wardrobe is black and white stripes and I'm not sorry.
There is just a bit over a week until I leave for Europe and I am completely unprepared.  I think? Should I be packing by now? Do I need anymore documents signed by my doctor? Am I ready to only have one suitcase worth of clothes for 4 months? Who knows.

As I get ready to pack I found the coolest app that is going to make packing and planning outfits so simple.  It's really similar to Stylebook, but instead of costing four dollars, it's free! The app is called "Glamoutfit" and it's really simple to use.  I've had the best time using it to make outfits out of the clothes I know I'll be taking, and it's making me less nervous about having a limited wardrobe.

How to Glamoutfit

You begin by uploading photos of your clothes, and it lets you cut out the background so that you can easily style them.  You can take photos of your own clothes or upload photos from the internet.

Then you get to play around in the "Create Outfit" feature to match your clothes together and make different outfits.  It's a ton of fun and I've already made over 50 separate outfits with just the 20 or so pieces in my closet.  Lots of them with things that I wouldn't pair together unless I saw it laid out in front of me.

A cool feature of the app is that it has a whole social media community behind it, so if you're running out of ideas you can ask for help.  You just post saying what the outfit is for and the climate that you're in, and people will create an outfit for you out of the clothes in your closet.

Okay that's all.  No cool sign off today.  Just me putting off prepping for my trip even. more.
